Career Background

Gaynor has a degree in french and german and progressed to study for a postgraduate diploma to be a bi-lingual secretary. Gaynor worked in the private sector for 15 years and then moved to working for the local authority. Gaynor worked for Rolls-Royce as marketing secretary for a busy and varied department and used her language skills to assist with customer meetings and foreign language documents. Gaynor's career with the Local Authority involved doing administration work for Children’s Services and Young People.   

Gaynor loves the interesting and varied work at NWLC, using her skills and experience focusing on the needs of young people.
 

 

What you like about working in leaving care

Gaynor enjoys working in a busy, interesting and varied environment which presents different challenges on a day to day basis. Gaynor enjoys solving problems and supporting the team improve the standards for care leavers.

 

What are you passionate about

Gaynor really enjoys travelling both in the UK and further afield as she is interested in exploring new and varied places. She is passionate about the work she does and her skills, experience and expertise allows her to offer the best possible support to the Northwest Leaving Care team across the county.
